Extra Details
- No charge for children under the age of four years when accompanying a paying fare
- A receipt shall be rendered if requested by a passenger
- Passengers shall pay what is in the fare display of the taxicab meter plus any applicable charges listed above
- Any tips or gratuities paid shall be at the sole discretion of the passenger
- Drivers are not required to provide change exceeding $20.00
Taxicab operators may:
-Charge an additional $6.00 for trips within the city limits when a snow emergency has been declared by the mayor; or
-Double the fare for travel outside of the corporate limits when a snow emergency has been declared by the county or state police
-These rates apply to trips originating within the city of Frederick and terminating within Frederick County, Maryland.
